Annual property tax = (SEV × millage rate) ÷ 1,000
SEV = Purchase price ÷ 2
Mill rate = $ owed per $1,000 of SEV
Example: $300K home, 7-mill rate → SEV $150K → ($150,000 × 7) ÷ 1,000 = $1,050/yr
